全國最大、最具規模的後村堰遙控飛機場今(14)日正式啟用，新北市長侯友宜前往視察時表示，該場地市府經過再三檢查，也跟台鐵局一起會勘，距離鐵路超過200公尺，比原有的規定30公尺長，離民宅也超過350公尺，距離部分都沒有問題，開放後市府會每個月定期稽查，確保安全無虞，希望玩家都能遵守規定使用場地。

侯友宜說，之前的西盛遙控飛機場，因為安全問題又是限航區，所以市府另外找了更安全，更符合法令的場地。後村堰是全國規模最大的場地，除可讓飛友們展示交流外，也可供相關科系學生測試無人機或練習操作，期望未來培育出更多優秀人才。

後村堰遙控飛機場內有機場跑道、飛機準備區、觀賞區等公共設施，固定翼無人機跑道長達300公尺、寬30公尺，總面積約9,000平方公尺，旁邊並規劃多旋翼無人機考照標準場地，是新北河濱公園內首座符合標準的多旋翼無人機考照場地及固定翼無人機比賽場地。

高灘處表示，國內目前合法的遙控飛機場屈指可數，隨著遙控飛機玩家越來越多，飛行場地漸漸不敷使用，為提供玩家廣闊且安全的飛行場域，市府針對新北市各地區基地、空域條件評估後，在後村堰極限運動公園上游側找到了適合飛行的場地。

  高灘處指出，場地周邊除了有後村堰停車場，也與大漢溪自行車道串連，在交通上對於騎乘單車或開車前往的民眾都相當方便。提醒民眾，無操作證者僅可使用未達二公斤的遙控無人機，二公斤以上的遙控無人機須考取相關操作證後才可飛行。
